At the beginning of 2005, on a exceptionally sunny winter day in Milan, the first meeting took place between Mr. Monti, industrialist and proprietor of an important Italian Coffee Roaster, with over half a century in the business at national level and Mr. Massimo Cubiciotti, export manager with a long standing experience in the coffee trade in Italy and over 10 years abroad.

An instant understanding was established between the two generations, due to a common desire to "raise the standards", exporting the culture of a true, genuine coffee worldwide. The culture of being together and sharing moments of pleasure, beating down any language or cultural barriers, benefiting the community and it's people.

To make a name of itself in a competitive world in whirling accelerations, especially in the context of work and production which is now part of a single globalised market, it becomes increasingly more pressing and necessary to move in two fundamental directions: on one side to give voice to its own partners and personnel, listening to their needs and demands, and on the other, to know how to grasp the changeable demands of the market.

Pitti is ready to tackle the new challenges of the future: an enlargement and expansion of the production activities is expected with the construction of a new warehouse and an increase in personnel. Pitti also intends to further enhance its coffee brand by focusing on the ethical dimension of its activity: Pitti Licenser of the Fair Trade Brand; Fair Trade business association based on communication, sincerity and respect, which looks for greater equality in international trading...
